Is SteamHelper safe to use?

The safest way to judge a Steam extension is to look at what it asks for, what it does automatically and whether the user stays in control. SteamHelper is built to make those boundaries visible.

Steam password boundary

SteamHelper does not ask users to enter a Steam password. Steam sign-in is handled through Steam OpenID.

  • No password field inside SteamHelper
  • Steam handles identity confirmation
  • SteamHelper stores only the session state needed for its service

Trade safety boundary

SteamHelper can show trade values and item context, but it does not make the final trade decision for the user.

  • No normal-trade auto accept
  • Gift-only auto accept is optional and limited
  • Users review Steam confirmation screens

Data boundary

SteamHelper uses extension and backend data to provide visible product features. It is not designed to sell user data or track unrelated browsing.

  • No personalized advertising based on browsing activity
  • No unrelated website monitoring
  • Chrome Web Store disclosures on the extension policy page

Questions users ask before installing

Is SteamHelper official Steam software?

No. SteamHelper is independent and is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or Steam.

What is the biggest safety rule?

Users should still review every Steam action before confirming it. SteamHelper provides context, not a guarantee.
